Lauren is proud to be born and raised in McCurtain County by her parents Ricky Roberts of Valliant and Janet McCoy of Tom. After graduating Valliant High school in 2006 as co-Valedictorian she studied Nutrition/Dietetics at Oklahoma State University. She graduated nursing school from National Park College in Hot Springs, AR in 2011. She was Charge RN of the ICU at St. Vincent Hot Springs. She also worked in the ER, Cardiac Cath lab recovery, ICU Stepdown, and float pool there, when needed. She worked part time in the NICU at Arkansas Children’s hospital. She continued to further her education while gaining experience and graduated with her Master of Science in Nursing from The University of Central Arkansas in 2016 and became a Board-Certified Family Nurse Practitioner through the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners. She worked as a Nurse Practitioner at Baptist Cardiology and Medicine Clinic in Little Rock, AR for three years before returning home to care for the community she loves. She worked in Family Practice for 2 years before joining the McCurtain Family Medical Clinic. She resides in Idabel with her husband Shelby George and daughter Londyn Sigman.
